While these particular warm season food plots are aimed at improving the health of the areas White-tailed deer, all the wildlife on the surrounding lands benefit from the multiple plant varieties including birds. These type food plots can help you achieve and maintain your 1-d-1 wildlife management plan with the Washington County Appraisal district.


Cary was a 2011 Texas Parks & Wildlife Lone Star Land Steward and has completed Deer Steward Level I & II training within the National Deer Association, formerly the Quality Deer Management Association.


Cary will share 20 years of best practices involved in the design, development, management, and purpose of 3 integrated food plots. Everything from; the equipment needed, to plant species selection, neighboring habitat enhancement, deer density, carrying capacity of the land, and deer movement manipulation. The purpose is to introduce these methodologies to new and experienced land owners in Washington County.
